EDUCATION

As a career educator and instructor, I understand the phenomenal opportunities that a good education can offer.

Making sure our younger generations get a good education will ensure a brighter future for them.

This is also why I am also actively involved as a governor in one of the local schools in Watford, and help set the strategic vision and direction of the school to ensure that our children continue to get the best education possible.

I would like to support libraries and community centres that play a vital part in our children’s learning and help improve funding.

The Pandemic has brought our community together in ways we could not have imagined. It has taught us that much can be achieved from effective online learning.

While this is not a substitute for children attending school where they foster not just academic skills, but nurture their social skills in addition to sports and arts,  I am excited at the prospect of how online learning can be extended to offer out of school support through local government initiatives and voluntary and mentorship programs for children who need additional help with learning.

It is equally important for us to create opportunities for adults to access educational and training opportunities.  I firmly believe that the future of such training will be in a variety of settings from face to face and on digital platforms, to upskill and find new venues of employment.
